Days after the 7.0 magnitude earthquake rattled the island of Haiti in January 2010, the need for clean water became overwhelmingly clear.
Our Temple community rallied together and set a goal of providing 1 million gallons of clean water to the people of Haiti, through the use of Lifesaver Jerrycans.
In August, Temple trustee Andy Haas and Rabbinic Intern Beau Shapiro traveled to Haiti and distributed over 500 Lifesaver Jerrycans, which will provide well over 2 million gallons of fresh, clean water to some of the neediest people in Haiti.
While the situation in Haiti remains unimaginably bad, we have made a significant impact in the lives of thousands. Thank you all for your support. Videos will be posted here soon. View the amazing photography taken on this trip below.
