Flood Victims in Pakistan: A Jewish Response
Pakistan is currently experiencing its worst episode of flooding since 1929.
According to U.N. figures, over 1200 people have died and as many as 14 million have been affected by the floods. American Jewish World Service (AJWS) has been working with five trusted partners on the ground and is well positioned to respond to this crisis.
AJWS is funding the immediate distribution of Aid-Bags to affected families in the worst hit areas. These Aid-Bags contain essentials: food, water, pots, pans, clothing and other necessities that will sustain these families for a week to ten days.
