For our youngest people, our program is designed to give parents the tools they need to be their child’s primary Jewish educator. Building on familiar parenting skills and interactions, we provide a monthly family education program at one of the Temple’s campuses. Each session focuses on a “great book.” Some are of specifically Jewish content, and others are examples of great children’s literature everyone wants in the home library.
Each program incorporates some of these activities: art, song, storytelling, discussion, play and eating. At the end of every session, parents receive a home kit to keep with a copy of the selected book and some of the following items: a song CD, discussion questions, bedtime stories, games and puzzles to be used between sessions.
