We offer High Holy Day services for adults and families in our main sanctuary. We also provide three other sets of age-appropriate children’s services (nursery school, kindergarten through third grade, and fourth grade and above) at venues within and near the Temple campus. Second-day Rosh Hashanah services and Tashlich are held at our Irmas Campus and at the outdoor chapel at our camps in Malibu.
We welcome Shabbat each Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. at both our campuses. Our prayer book is easy enough for beginners and thoughtful enough for those who’ve joined us weekly for many years. We encourage the congregation to join Cantor Gurney in singing traditional and contemporary music. Our rabbis offer brief insights into Torah, after which we enjoy socializing at Kiddush—and still getting home in time for Shabbat dinner.
Our family-oriented Soul Sounds Shabbat service is musical from beginning to end. A Jewish folk band and Cantor Gurney encourage children to sing, clap, dance and pray along with their parents and grandparents. Families often stay at Temple after the service to picnic on the patio.
Irmas Campus: 6:00 p.m., the first Friday of each month
Temple Campus: 6:00 p.m., the third Friday of each month
Both campuses offer Shabbat morning services at 10:30 a.m., usually with a bar or bat mitzvah chanting and interpreting Torah, and with one of our rabbis offering a sermon.
Saturday morning, Rabbi Karen L. Fox and Cantor Susan Caro assist those preferring a smaller, in-depth service, with congregants leading, chanting Torah and haftarah, and providing the sermon.
Irmas Campus: 9:15 a.m., twice monthly

Tot Shabbat is geared towards families with young children who wish to come and capture that special SHABBAT FEELING! Stories, dance, music and art projects will be a part of the morning experience. These events give your child a sense of Shabbat in a pleasant environment, as well as a chance for you to celebrate Shabbat with your child and other young families at the Temple. The Tot Shabbat program welcomes all children up to age five and their families. Tot Shabbat begins at 9:00 a.m. on the following Saturdays at the Audrey and Sydney Irmas Campus, 11661 West Olympic Boulevard. More Info >>
